It is designed specifically for use in commercial kitchens to meet BS6173:2001, which is now a recogognised standard in the catering industry. This panel is to be used when the kitchen appliances do have a flame failure device, therefore gas proving is not a requirement.,The GSS2 acts as an interlock between the ventilation system and the gas solenoid valve. It has a built-in power monitor which is a method used for interlocking a kitchen gas supply with the ventilation system.,As an alternative to pressure differential switches the GSS2 is designed to monitor the electrical current going to a ventilation fan. When the fan is switched ON and there is sufficient current being drawn by the fan, the GSS2 panel receives a signal to indicate that the fans are operating. Turning the key switch to ON will open the gas solenoid valve. If the fans should fail the "Fan Fault" LED on the GSS2 panel will illuminate and the gas solenoid valve will be commanded to close.,When there is a fan fault, the supply or extract fan LED on the GSS2 panel will flash. This provides information on which fan has failed.,Installation of the GSS2 is simple with no calibration required. Straightforward volt free wiring is required for all BMS and remote emergency stops. CORGI Registered installer is required for the gas solenoid valve installation.
